This is not a democracy! The one and only criteria of this blog is that I decide who writes and what is written - unless the cat wants to say something or put a picture on the site. Really this should be called First Past the Post but as I prefer Mixed Member Proportional for government I might invite guests to write a bit.

I live on the isle of Sheppey in Kent, UK. The Island can be found on the map of the South East where the Thames and Medway Estuaries join and the Swale divides the island from the mainland.

Naval tradition
The Swale and the tidal creek at Queenborough gives a casual, timeless air to the island. Once the Navy dominated the island but today it is container docks and fishing.
